About me:
I'm a genetic woman. I work hard and for balance I strive to play hard. I am an avid cyclist and love to ride long distances, especially if the ride includes climbing mountains. My favorite places to ride are around Lake Tahoe and through the California Alps, just south of Lake Tahoe. Because I despise being cold, my cycling is most active in the warm weather. I love to eat good food, prefer when someone cooks for me, and enjoy the outdoors even if it’s mowing my lawn. I have a yellow lab who is spoiled and neurotic, but I wouldn’t give her up for anything. I live in Sacramento, work in Solano County but a good portion of my life takes me to El Dorado County.

I’ve worked in child welfare for 13 years and have recently returned to school to complete my Masters in Social Work. I see this as my ticket out of my current profession and into something that will be more meaningful for me. I can’t wait to see where the next 5 years takes me. I am definitely growing in my personal and professional development. It’s interesting and it took my girlfriend to point this out, but if I list all my favorite movies you’ll see many of them have a transgender theme. Some of my earlier favorites are Yentel, Tootsie, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Victor Victoria, M Butterfly, The Crying Game and the list goes on. I think I see a theme emerging…..

I am not married, but I am in a committed same-sex relationship. I have no children, though I do share a grandson by relationship. Boy can toddlers be….fun! I love good entertainment and try to get out and see a concert 5-8 times per year. Last singer I saw was Queen Latifa in Santa Rosa. I have tickets to see Celine Dion in October at ARCO. Wanted to see The Manhattan Transfer in April, but may not work out due to scheduling. Fortunately I have a wonderful companion who loves the arts and traveling as much as I do. One of our favorite getaways is the town of Sebastopol. There’s a little fruit stand just west of town that also has an organic coffee house. They make the best mochas as they make their own chocolate. Just a bit further west on Bohemian Hwy is the Wild Flour Bread Company where you can get fresh baked biscotti and other specialty breads. Together we’re planning three small vacations for the next year that include Yosemite, Oregon and Sea Ranch.

My life is not boring.
